POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Solutions Specialist plays a key role in supporting the bank’s business customers through a blend of inside sales, relationship management, and technical expertise. This position works closely with Business and Commercial Bankers to deepen existing customer relationships, participate in joint sales calls, onboard and support new clients, and ensure the effective use of digital and treasury solutions. The Specialist serves as a trusted advisor by understanding client operations, identifying needs, recommending tailored banking solutions, and enhancing the customer experience through ongoing engagement and support.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Customer Relationship Management & Growth
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned business clients, fostering long-term, consultative relationships.
- Conduct inside sales outreach to existing and prospective customers to identify opportunities for deposit growth, digital banking, and treasury services.
- Participate in joint sales calls with Business/Commercial Bankers to acquire new business clients and expand existing relationships.
- Conduct regular customer check-ins, annual reviews, and solution utilization assessments to identify opportunities for enhancement or additional banking services.
- Proactively identify customer needs through conversation, analysis of business operations, and an understanding of industry trends.
- Maintain and update CRM records to document leads, activities, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Meet established outreach, call activity, and sales pipeline goals.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and solution recommendations that support business development and customer growth.
- Support Bankers with discovery calls, pre‑call planning, and follow-up activities.
- Analyze client operations, financial goals, and pain points to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
- Complete required applications, agreements, and documentation for business banking solutions.
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new business customers by coordinating implementation activities across internal teams.
- Provide training and ongoing support to clients on digital banking, payment systems, cash management tools, and other business platforms.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex customer inquiries, working with internal departments to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Monitor customer engagement with business banking tools and proactively intervene to ensure optimal adoption and satisfaction.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, or updates to digital channels, systems, and business services.
- Identify and communicate recurring customer pain points, recommending process or service improvements to enhance efficiency and the customer experience.
- Collaborate closely with Bank Operations, IT, Treasury, and other internal teams to refine workflows, reduce friction, and streamline service delivery.
- Assist with gathering requested data and responses for audits, assessments, and compliance-related activities.
- Help ensure that all business banking interactions and setups adhere to bank policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk management standards.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for frontline staff needing guidance on business solutions, digital platforms, or payment systems.
- Contribute to training efforts for new employees or internal partners as assigned.
- Stay current on banking technology trends, competitor offerings, payment systems, and commercial banking products.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Bank Treasury/Cash Management, Business Operations, Sales, or Client Support.
- Experience with commercial banking products, digital banking platforms, cash management tools, and payment systems strongly preferred.

- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
- Accredited ACH Professional (AAP)
- Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequent standing and occasional bending
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
